”Why?”
The feeling to be part of a small and intimate community, the feeling ‘this is where I belong,’ is something easily lost in modern society. “Why?” is small, humane, warm and cherished. The beginning of each episode shows a country side, suburb, village or city, depending on the setup of the programme. In short, humorous sketches the host shows where we are and what we are about to do. The introduction of the questions or subjects follows. An authority, person or family invites us to find the answers to these questions. In one or more short interviews, a touching, sometimes emotional, but always recognizable answer or opinion is given. Positive, playful and all too human viewers learn to appreciate the small things.
“Au Pair”®
A light-footed comedy about a cheerful and lively Chinese girl, accidentally ending up in an old and conservative American family. Rather some energy is demanded in order to get used to each other. It is impossible for her to go home. When she eventually can go home, she decides in agreement with everybody to stay. That is when the misunderstandings really start.
“Ocara Brasil”®
A small team of doctors works at a missionary hospital in Ocara. A young doctor arrives in Fortaleza and in the series. We follow the relationship between him and Ellen Oliveira, a local nurse. Relationships, relational problems, different characters, envy, jealousy; we see our world compressed in the small isolated community of Ocara. A clear and uncompromising mirror.
“Tomorrow we feel the Sun”®
Lioni Crumel and Peter Vangogh both work at the bureau of social welfare. Because this is her very first job, she is emotionally and socially involved. She has not yet learned how to take an appropriate distance. Peter Vangogh is a doctor. His soul has become callous and he has no problem with that. However, Peter is a sensitive man who has often made the right decision between law and heart in the past. In the series, we get to know five patients of Lioni and Peter. We see the limitations, the personal drama and the sliding away to a level of which there shall be no return. “Tomorrow” is a series in which we, the viewing audience, will rediscover much of ourselves.
“Cook and Survive”®
An alternative cooking programme for students and others with little time, affinity and self-confidence for cooking. Each episode the programme shows how to prepare a meal with limited expertise and budget. Our survivors use fresh ingredients for a healthy and good-looking dish. However, frozen ingredients and instant meals are not shunned.
“Work at Hand”®
Kijkwaardig, interessant, maar ook informatief programma waarin een moeizaam voort bestaande speciaalzaak/winkel wordt omgeturnd naar een vitaal en levensvatbaar verkooppunt. Hierbij leert de kijker spelenderwijs van de problemen die bij de winkeliers spelen. Een eigen bedrijf voeren vraagt inzicht, inzet en doorzettingsvermogen. Gedramatiseerde "real live" afleveringen, uitgaande van reële situaties. In het programma’s zien we verdriet, blijdschap en de emotie binnen het gezin. Wij leven mee met het harde leven van een zelfstandig ondernemer en zijn familie, waarbij de camera onverbiddelijk aanwezig is bij alle belangrijke gebeurtenissen.
“Work at Hand”®
Learn some, interesting and informative programme showing a struggling entrepreneur / shop owner whom we help to revitalize his store to a viable selling point. The viewer gets acquainted with real life problems and struggles of real life entrepreneurs. Running your own business demands insight, knowledge and above all perseverance. Dramatised ‘real life’ shows, based on real and existing situations. We see despair and emotion, but also the happiness and satisfaction. We sympathise with the often difficult life of small tradesmen and their families, where the camera is an inexorable witness.
